LILA HARTNESS OF UNIVERSITY OF THE OZARKS, a sophomore guard from Kingston, Ark., has been named the SCAC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Friday, November 7 through Sunday, November 9. SCAC Women's Basketball Release (Week 1)

Hartness was outstanding last week, leading the Eagles to a 1-1 record highlighted by a win over Westminster (MO). She averaged averaged 19.5 points on 45.5 percent shooting and dished out 3.0 assists per contest. She also grabbed 5.5 rebounds and averaged 4.0 steals a night to showcase her all-around ability on the floor for the Eagles.

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First-year guard Nakaylyn Wells of Centenary had an impressive debut for the Ladies, scoring 17 points on 6-of-13 shooting, grabbed six rebounds and added a steal in a loss to ETBU to open the season. Junior guard Taysie Trejo of Concordia poured in 23 points off the bench in a tough season opening loss against Whitman. Trejo connected on 46.7 percent shooting and added two assists and one rebound on the night. Junior Macie Whitfield of St. Thomas scored 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting in an opening season loss to Texas A&M Int’l last Saturday. Whitefield secured her first double-double of the season with 10 rebounds and added three assists, two steals and two blocks. Senior guard Lauren Sansano of Texas Lutheran led the Bulldogs to a 2-0 week to open the 2025-26 campaign, highlighted by a win over Hardin-Simmons on the road. Sansano averaged 13.5 points on 47.1 percent shooting, dished out 4.0 assists, grabbed 3.5 rebounds and added a half a steal per contest.
