LOGAN
MILLER OF SEWANEE: THE UNIVERSITY OF THE
SOUTH, a senior from Franklin, Tenn., has
been selected the SCAC Character & Community Female
Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending March 4, 2012.
A Biochemistry and Spanish double major,
Miller is a Georgia M. Wilkins scholar, a
member of the Order of Gownsmen, Phi Beta Kappa honorsociety, Sigma
Delta Pi Spanish honor society and Alpha Epsilon Delta pre-med
honor society. She is also a member of the Student Alumni
Leadership Council and the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, and
has served as a volunteer youth basketball coach and a Sewanee
writing tutor.
A four-year letter winner and co-captain of the 2011-12 basketball
team, Miller has recorded 163 three-point field
goals and has made 81.4% of her free throws during her
career. She has been named to the SCAC Academic Honor Roll in
2009, 2010 and 2011.
Currently, Miller owns a 3.91 GPA and following
graduation, she plans to attend medical school having already been
admitted to the University of Tennessee Medical School.
