Beville, a sophomore from New Braunfels, Texas, and Alvarado, a first-year from San Antonio, Texas, swept through both of their No. 1 doubles matches this week against Division II Sul Ross State, earning 6-0 victories in each. The duo improved to 2-1 on the season with all three decisions coming at the top line.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First-year Mackenzie Griffin and senior Daniella Rodriquez of Schreiner helped the Mountaineers earn the doubles point against Dallas, posting the 6-2 victory at No. 1 doubles over Kathleen Roset and Sanskriti Baranwal en route to the Mountaineers' 7-0 sweep of the Crusaders on Saturday. Graduate student Kayla Pena and junior Isabella Cepeda of Concordia (Texas) were dominant in the duo's lone match of the week. The pairing took down Ella Mullins and Lucia Rodriguez of St. Thomas by a score of 6-1 to set the tone in a 5-2 victory over the Celts in conference action. First-year Lilly Perkins and junior Kimberly Duncan of Southwestern played at No. 3 doubles over the weekend, defeating their counterparts from St. Thomas, 6-0.
