As the sixth seed, Centenary is the first six seed since Schreiner in 2015 to win multiple games at the SCAC Softball Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Trinity evened the score in the fifth after Mariana Garcia and Samantha Tagawa drove in runs with RBI singles to right field.
  • The Ladies would immediately respond in the fifth, scoring three runs in the top of the inning, bolstered by a two RBI double off the bat of Catherine Stokes
  • Trinity fought back to get within two runs after Carsyn Lee singled through the left side to score Jordan Arce after a Centenary throwing error.
  • The Tigers would threaten again in the sixth but were unable to score a run, leaving two runners on base.
  • Centenary secured the win thanks in big part to the pitching duo of Anna Scarbrock and Emma Shepherd. Scarbrock got the win, while Shepherd picked up the save and the duo combined for 7.0 innings of work, scattering nine hits and allowing just two earned runs.
