JORDAN OWENS
OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore forward
from Richardson, Texas, has been named SCAC Women’s
Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, February 4
through Sunday, February 10.
Owens averaged 21 points and 6.5 rebounds this
week. She shot 52% from the floor (18-34) and 85% from the free
throw line (6-7). Owens added in two assists, two
blocks and five steals as SU went 2-0 this week.
She scored 27 points on 11 of 19 shooting in the
Pirates’ win over visiting Dallas. Owens
added six rebounds, a block and a steal.
Against Colorado College, Owens scored 15 points while connecting on 7 of 15 shots. She tallied 7 rebounds, five steals and two blocks in the win.
