ADAM McGUIRE OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a 5-11, 200-pound junior linebacker from Houston, Texas has been selected the SCAC Football Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, October 26th.

McGuire intercepted a pair of passes in a game for the second consecutive week to lead the Bulldogs to a 35-32 win against Mississippi College on the road.

McGuire stepped in front of a pass in the first quarter, and the Bulldogs turned that turnover into a 61-yard TD drive.

McGuire’s second interception came on Mississippi College’s last possession of the game and ended the final Choctaws’ scoring threat. He also registered five total tackles (four solo) and a tackle for loss of five yards.
