BRODERICK
SARGENT OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a 6-1,
204-pound freshman defensive lineman from Waxahachie, Texas has
been selected the SCAC Football Defensive Player-of-the-Week for
games played Saturday, October 12th.
Sargent collected two sacks and a forced
fumble that was recovered by TLU in the Bulldogs’ 45-12 win
over Austin College.
Sargent finished second on the team in total
tackles, with six, and had 28 yards in losses on his two tackles
for loss.
The Bulldogs forced two turnovers and was able to fluster the
Austin College offense for a great portion of the contest.
