SCOTT LOY OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a 6-1, 197-pound junior defensive back from Rockwall, Texas has been selected the SCAC Football Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, October 5th.

Loy had a big game as the ‘Roos shut down the Southwestern offense, limiting the Pirates to just 155 yards - including just 55 through the first three and a half quarters. 

Loy picked off a pass with no return and proceeded to make six tackles, including five solo stops as the Austin College defense forced three Pirate turnovers and claimed their first shutout since 2006 when they shutout Southwest Assemblies of God 7-0.
