TOMY BOBOY OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a 6-0, 221-pound junior defensive lineman from Hurst, Texas has been selected the SCAC Football Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, September 21.

Boboy led a Tiger defense that allowed just one scoring drive in a 33-6 victory over Sul Ross State University on Saturday afternoon.

Boboy had 1.5 tackles for loss and a 10-yard sack in the game, as well as blocking a punt for a safety and recording a pair of quarterback hurries for the Tigers. His third-quarter sack backed Sul Ross inside their own 10 yard line, and two plays later, he broke through the line to block a punt through the back of the end zone. That sequence turned the momentum of the game, and the Tigers went from a 3-0 halftime lead to a 19-0 advantage in the third quarter.
