Putnam led fourth-ranked Trinity to a pair of home wins in SCAC play, defeating Dallas and Austin College. Putnam averaged 12.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists despite playing 44 total minutes in the two games (22 minutes/game). She also shot a sizzling 71.4% (10-of-14) from the field that included 4-of-6 (66.7%) from three-point range. She finished the weekend with 14 points and 10 rebounds in just 23 minutes against Austin College, adding three assists and two steals while shooting 6-for-9 from the field. This season, Putnam is averaging 10.3 points per game and leads the Tigers with 118 total rebounds (5.1/game), while shooting a team-best 53.7% (88-of-164) from the field on the year.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore forward Zoe Tomlinson of Colorado College registered her 11th double-double of the season on Sunday with 16 points and 16 rebounds in leading the Tigers to a 80-57 road win over Southwestern. On the week, Tomlinson averaged 12.0 points, 12.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contest. Junior guard Skye Thomas of Schreiner led the Mountaineers to a pair of SCAC wins last week, averaging 10.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per contest. First-year guard Lauren Sansano of Texas Lutheran led the Bulldogs to a 2-0 week, including a comeback victory over Colorado College. She averaged 16.5 points and 3.0 assists per game, including a career-high six rebounds in the win over CC.
