JORDAN OWENS OF SOUTHWESTERN
UNIVERSITY, a junior forward from Richardson,
Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s
Basketball Co-Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday,
December 16th through Sunday, January 5th.
Owens was a monster over the break,
averaging 21.5 points per game while shooting 51% from the floor
(29-56) and 42% form three point range (6-14), 78% (22-28) from the
free throw line. She also averaged 6.8 rebounds per game and had
five steals.
Over the
break, Owens eclipsed the
1000 point mark for her career and was the leading scorer in three
of the four games with 25 points against Baruch, 23 points against
Occidental and 18 against Texas Wesleyan.
Owens was a D3hoops.com Classic
All-Tournament Team selection and was named to the D3hoops.com Team
of the Week for her play in Las Vegas.
