YURI RIBEIRO
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior midfielder from
Salvador, Brazil has been selected the SCAC Men’s Soccer
Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday,
October 21st through Sunday, October 27th.
Ribeiro led the Tiger men’s soccer team to
a pair of SCAC shutouts against Texas Lutheran and Schreiner over
the weekend. He scored two goals and contributed four assists in
the two games, accounting for six of the team’s 13 total
goals over the weekend.
Ribeiro had two goals and three assists in the
win over Schreiner on Sunday, which marked the second time this
season he has posted three assists against Schreiner.
For the season, Ribeiro leads the Tigers with 12
assists, and is second on the team with 30 total points. He has
also scored nine goals, which is third among Trinity players on the
year.
