LALO RAMIREZ
OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore defender
from Round Rock, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer
Co-Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Friday,
August 29 through Sunday, August 31.
Ramirez played the hero as the Bulldogs got
out to two straight wins to open up their season. In both
wins, Ramirez notched the game-winning
goal. He recorded three shots over the two games, with all three
shots coming on goal.
In the season opener at home against
LeTourneau, Ramirez scored in 81st
minute to put the Bulldogs up 2-0. The goal proved crucial as
LeTourneau scored in the 88th minute to make it a 2-1 game. In
Monday's road win over
Hardin-Simmons, Ramirez scored the
game's only goal. It came in the 57th minute.
