LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Three Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's golf teams were in action last week.
Southwestern University traveled east to compete in the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational last week, taking on some of the top competition in the nation. The Pirates had a strong weekend, finishing in a tie for fourth place with a score of 870 (+6) that skyrocketed them up the national rankings to #11. SU was led by Cade Osgood, who hung around the top spots in the tournament all weekend long. Osgood finished the 54-hole event with a score of 210 (-6).
The University of Dallas competed at the Texas Cup, finishing in fourth place in the field of six teams. The Crusaders were led by Jacob Wade, who tied for third place individually. Wade posted a score of 145 (+1) over the two round event.
Centenary hosted the Hal Sutton Invitational, taking fourth in the field of seven. The Gents were led by Taylor Wells in 19th place. Wells carded a two-round score of 166 (81-85).
