LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - All seven Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's cross country teams were off and running in 2016 season-opening meets this past week.
Among the opening week highlights, Trinity University picked up a win at its own Alamo City Opener and Colorado College placed second at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs Rust Buster.
Individually, Trinity runners finished 2-3-4-5 at the Alamo City, led by senior Austin Brown who traversed the 5000-meter course in a time of 16:14.85.
For CC, freshman Tony Calderon posted a team-best ninth-place finish in his first collegiate race as he covered the 6K course in 20 minutes, 51 seconds.
