BLAKE LAWSON OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a freshman goalkeeper from San Antonio, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Friday, October 7th through Sunday, October 13th.

Lawson helped lead Schreiner to two SCAC shutout victories over the weekend - on Friday against Austin College and Sunday against Centenary College. The first-year keeper had four saves while in net, and is now second in the SCAC with 5.00 saves per game.

For the season, Lawson has a save percentage of .732 and three shutouts on the season - two of which came from last weekend’s wins.
