ANDREW WORTHINGTON OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior defender from Hinsdale, Ill., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Friday, September 16 through Sunday, September 22.

Worthinton anchored the Colorado College defense that allowed only one shot on goal and nine total shots during a pair of shutout victories last weekend.

During Friday’s 1-0 victory over Austin, the Tigers allowed just one shot on goal and six total shots. In Sunday’s 3-0 win over Centenary, CC’s defense surrendered only three shots, none of which were on target. The Gents became the fifth opponent which managed fewer than five shots on goal in a game against Colorado College this year.

Worthington played all 90 minutes in each game helping the Tigers to their second and third shutouts in seven games. Colorado College improved to 3-0-2 at home this season.
