JEREMY WOLF OF TRINITY
UNIVERSITY, a sophomore outfielder from
Scottsdale, Ariz., has been selected the SCAC Baseball Offensive
Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 31st through
Sunday, April 6th.
Wolf led Trinity to a 4-0 record that
included a three-game SCAC series sweep on the road against
Schreiner University.
Wolf sported a .467 overall batting
average last week, going 7-15 at the plate. He nabbed two
doubles, a triple, and a home run among his seven hits, as well as
adding five runs and five RBI for the Tigers. In the
three-game series with Schreiner, Wolf went 5-10 with three runs
and four RBI.
To start the
week, Wolf had two doubles
and scored two runs against Hardin-Simmons. After going
hitless in the opening game against
Schreiner, Wolf finished
strong with five hits in the next two games, scoring in each game,
and driving in four runs.
For the
season, Wolf is now hitting
.339 (38-112) with 15 runs, and he is second on the team with 26
RBI. He has bumped his slugging percentage to .536 on the
year, and holds a .417 on-base percentage.
