LILLY DUARTE OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior from Streetman, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week for meets run through Saturday, September 7.

Duarte continues to keep pace with the late summer temperature as the senior’s early-season hot streak continued Saturday at the Texas Lutheran Invitational.

Duarte paced Southwestern University to a third-place team finish as she claimed her best time at Southwestern in the 5K. She covered the course in 19:25.87 to win the non-Division I portion of the race. Duarte’s time was the fifth-best overall – behind four Division I runners from UTSA and Incarnate Word.
