COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado College women's cross country team received an at-large bid to the 2016 NCAA Division III National Championships on Sunday.

The Tigers, who finished third at the West Region meet on Saturday, will compete on Saturday, Nov. 19 at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky., beginning at 11 a.m. (ET). The top two teams automatically qualified from each of the eight regions, while 16 at-large teams were selected on Sunday.

"We are very excited to receive a bid to the national meet," head coach Ted Castaneda said. "Our women have been working hard for an entire year to make this happen. It is well deserved and we are looking forward to running at the meet as a team."

The last time Colorado College competed at the national meet as a team was 2007.
