MONIQUE
ANDERSON OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior
from Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Track
Athlete-of-the-Week for meets through Sunday, February 23rd.
Anderson, an
All-American, secured sprint titles in the
100 and 200 meters and anchored the Bulldogs' winning 4x100 relay
Saturday at the Trinity
University Open.
Anderson won the 100 with a time of 12.12 seconds and took the 200 in 25.25. The 4x100 relay team edged Huston-Tillotson, 48.98 to 49.11, for the win. TLU's winning relay team included Brittany Steubing, Vanecia Spencer, Melanie Hunt, and Anderson.
