JAMIE TATE OF HENDRIX COLLEGE, sophomore forward from Nashville, Tenn., has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, November 28 through Sunday, December 4.

Tate averaged 17.5 points and 14.5 rebounds and shot 50.0 percent (13-of-26) from the field at the Warriors split their first two SCAC games of the season. On Friday, Tate scored a then career-best 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out an assist as Hendrix topped Trinity 66-61. In Sunday’s loss to Southwestern, Tate surpassed her career-high for the third consecutive game, scoring 19 points and tying her personal record with 16 rebounds. She shot 7-of-11 from the field and recorded two steals.
