Peter Callan, Colorado College, Runner of the Week (Week 6)

PETER CALLAN OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a freshman from San Francisco, Calif., has been selected the SCAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets run through Sunday, October 9th.

Callan placed 51st in a field of over 160 runners at the Fort Hays State Open where CC was the only NCAA Division III school participating.

Callan ran a personal best of 25:36 for five miles, breaking his previous best of 27:32, and set the current top 8K team in the SCAC this season.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Josh Im of Southwesern University, in just his third-ever 8K, ran a personal best of 26:34.4 at the University of the Incarnate Word Invitational in San Antonio. Im was the top finisher among Division III athletes and placed 22nd in a field that included five unattached Division-I athletes as well as a mix of NAIA, Division II, Division III and miscellaneous unattached individuals. Thomas Hogan of the University of Dallas ran a personal best 26:55 over 8K this weekend at the University of the Ozarks Invitational. He finished 14th overall to lead the Crusaders to a fifth-place finish out of 10 schools in a predominantly D-II/NAIA field. Joseph Campbell of Trinity University finished 26th out of 73 non-Division I runners in Saturday's UIW Invitational, leading the Trinity men's cross country team. Campbell was second among Division III runners, crossing the finish in a time of 26:39 in the 8K event.
