MATT LOVE OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a freshman from New Braunfels, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Field Athlete-of-the-Week for meets through Sunday, April 12th.
Love continued to shine in his first season with the Tigers, earning a top five finish in the discus at the UIW Invitational.
Love finished second among Division III competitors and fourth overall with his throw of 47.16 meters. That distance is good for a new personal record, and the third-best discus throw in Trinity track & field history.
