Trinity Stays Seventh in Latest NSCAA/Continental Tire Top 25 Men’s Soccer Poll

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Trinity (Texas) University (16-2-1, 13-1) sustains the No. 7 spot in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA)/ Continental Tire Division III Top 25 rankings. Trinity moves up two spots to the No. 12 position in the D3soccer.com Top 25 poll for week ten. The NSCAA West Region poll puts Trinity at No. 1 for the second consecutive week.

Trinity clinched the top seed at the SCAC Tournament with a 1-0 win over Southwestern University on Friday night in Georgetown, Texas.  The Tigers extended the team's winning streak to 14 consecutive games, and avenged a home loss to Southwestern from earlier in the season.

The game marked Trinity's seventh consecutive shutout against Division III opponents. With the top seed in the tournament, which is hosted by Southwestern, Trinity will receive a first-round bye, and will not play until Saturday evening at 5:00 p.m.

The Tigers will face either No. 4 Texas Lutheran or No. 5 Schreiner, who play at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.  Should Trinity win, the Tigers will advance to Sunday's SCAC Championship game at 1:00 p.m.  Trinity won the SCAC Tournament last season in San Antonio.
