AUSTIN CARDEN
OF RHODES COLLLEGE, a senior right-hander from
Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Baseball
Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday March 19 through
Sunday, March 25.
Carden threw a seven-inning complete game in an
8-1 win in the Lynx’s first game at Centre on Saturday. The
senior allowed just one hit in his seven innings of work and had a
no-hitter going into the sixth inning. Carden struck out five in
his seven innings of work.
For the season, Carden is 6-1 with a 3.13
ERA in 46 innings of work over eight appearances (seven starts)
while averaging 6.85 strikeouts per nine innings pitched.
