BRANDON
DOUGLAS OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior from
Plano, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Character & Community
Male Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending September 29,
2013.
Douglas is a three-year letterman and a team captain for the Tiger
cross country team and helped the squad to its first-ever SCAC

past spring, he ran his personal best time in the 10,000 meter run
to aid the Tigers to the conference title in that sport.

dinners and distributing clothing to homeless and needy
families.
Douglas has served as a Resident Mentor at Trinity for the past
two years, and has also participated in Trinity’s Leadership
Academy. Service to his community is a long-time commitment
by Douglas, who also logged over 200 hours as a volunteer at the
Medical Center of Plano while in high school, and was a member of
the Young Men’s Service League.
Douglas is majoring in Business & Economics, and will minor in
Human Communications. This past summer, he worked TIAA-Cref
