Little Rock is the capital and most populous city in the state of Arkansas with a population of 202,591 as of the 2020 census. The Little Rock metropolitan area has an estimated 770,000 residents, making it the 81st-most populous metropolitan area in the United States. The city lies on the south bank of the Arkansas River, close to the state's geographic center in central Arkansas, and is home to several major companies, including Dillard's, Windstream Communications and Acxiom, Simmons Bank, Bank OZK, Rose Law Firm, Westrock Coffee, Central Flying Service, and the brokerage firm Stephens Inc.
