CLARE BASIL OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a freshman from Arnold, Md., has been named the SCAC Track Athlete of the Week for meets held Monday, February 15th through Sunday February 21st.
Basil ran the 800m leg of a school record setting Distance Medley Relay (13:39) last weekend at the East Texas Time Trials hosted by UT-Tyler. She ran a 2:30 for her leg and separated herself from the pack for an eventual 1st place finish.
