HALLEANNE DURE OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior forward from Katy, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played the week of Monday, September 24th to Sunday, September 30th.

Dure led the Tiger women’s soccer team to three road wins last week, defeating Schreiner, Austin College, and Dallas. Dure scored four goals in the three games, including the game-winning scores against both Schreiner and Austin College. 
 
Dure had two of the three goals in Tuesday’s win over Schreiner, then accounted for half of Trinity’s scoring in a 4-0 win at Austin on Friday. This season, Dure is second on the team with 10 goals scored in 10 games, and now leads the Tigers with three game-winners. With back-to-back multi-goal games this week, Dure has posted four multi-goal games in Trinity’s seven contests.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
 Freshman forward Monica O’Donnell of Dallas scored the game-winning goal last Friday to propel the Crusaders to their first SCAC victory of the season against Schreiner. Freshman midfielder Marissa Wheeler of Schreiner collected three points in the Mountaineers 2-0 win over Austin College, scoring a goal and adding an assist. Freshman midfielder Hallie Rutherford of Southwestern scored the lone goal for the Pirates in a 2-1 loss against TLU last Friday. Junior forward Jaclyn Smolik of Texas Lutheran scored both goals in the 2-1 victory against Southwestern, handing the Pirates their first SCAC loss of the season.
