JACKSON BRAINERD OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior from Littleton, Colo., has been selected the SCAC Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week for meets run through Saturday, October 9.

Brainerd ran the pre-national ”Dan Huston” men’s 8K meet at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa and took first out of 292 runners. He also ran a personal best of 24:59 for the 8K and helped lead the men’s team to a 2nd-place finish out of 28 schools that participated including some national ranked teams.

Brainerd set a new course record, won his third race this year and broke 25 minutes for the 8K for the first time this year in 80 degree plus temperatures.
