NAIM BARNETT OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Round Rock, Texas, has been named the SCAC Field Athlete of the Week for meets held through Sunday, March 24th.
Barnett set a career best mark en route to winning the triple jump last weekend at the TLU D3 Challenge meet. The junior’s winning mark of 14.20 meters is currently the top in the SCAC and sits second across all of Div. III.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Devin Rosas of Southwestern helped carry the Pirates to a second-place team finish at the Island Meet last weekend. Rosas finished first in the high jump with a leap of 1.85 meters and turned in a third-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 6.34 meters. Junior Dalton Masters of Texas Lutheran won the high jump at the TLU D3 Challenge by clearing 1.97 meters.
