ELLIOT FLEMING OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Manvel, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Swimmer of the Week for all meets through Sunday, January 22nd.
Fleming helped the Trinity Tigers in their final meet before the conference championship, a double dual with Rollins College and Saint Leo University.
Fleming began with a 26.5 breaststroke split on the Tigers' 200 medley relay, helping the team clock a 1:37.25. Fleming then came back and raced to a 1:00.87 in the 100 breast.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Stefan Bay of Colorado College won the 100 back with a time of 53.20 seconds and took third in the 200 back during the Colorado College Invitational. Senior Simmon Belaineh of Southwestern University took the title in the 100 free, posting a time of 47.9 seconds, while also anchoring the second place 200 medley relay team with a split of 21.18 seconds.
