Miguel Candelario, Texas Lutheran University, Offensive Player of the Week (Week 1)
MIGUEL CANDELARIO OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a freshman midfielder from San Antonio, Texas has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Tuesday, Septebmer 1st through Sunday, September 6th. 

Candelario scored a goal in each of his first two collegiate matches and helped the TLU Bulldogs to a 3-0 start to the 2015 season.
Candelario was the spark for the TLU offense. He finished off any hope of a Howard Payne comeback with TLU's third goal, in the 67th minute of the 3-1 win. Against East Texas Baptist, he scored the second goal, putting the Bulldogs up 2-0

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore midfielder/forward, Ivann Amaya of Centenary College had a hand in every goal scored on the week, including the first goal of the season and an assist on the game-winning goal against East Texas Baptist. Sophomore forward, Gregg Gutierrez of Schreiner University scored two goals to help lift the Mountaineers past ETBU on Saturday. Junior forward, Barton Holdridge of the University of Dallas led Dallas in shot attempts each match, combining for 11 overall through three matches. Holdridge added two more goals in a 4-2 setback on Sunday at Concordia. He is one goal shy of his career-best that was garnered in 2013. Freshman forward, Ryan Hunter of Trinity University scored his first collegiate goal in the second minute of action against seventh-ranked Brandeis, slotting the eventual game-winner. Freshman midfielder, Phillip Le of Austin College scored a dramatic first college goal, tallying in the 106th minute of action to give Austin College a 1-0 double overtime road victory over Rhodes College. Sophomore midfielder, CHristian Lopez of Southwestern University scored one goal on five shots with four coming on frame for a .800 shots on goal percentage.
