COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado College and
Trinity University softball teams are joining forces in the fight
against cancer when the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference
rivals unite for the first "Strike Out Cancer" day on Saturday,
March 28.
The event will be held in conjunction with the 1 p.m. doubleheader at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted. "Strike Out Cancer" t-shirts will be sold at the games and the CC athletics department will be giving away prizes.
Both teams are collecting money for their local American Cancer Society branch.
The CC player who raises the most money will have an opportunity to ‘pie' each Colorado College coach after the second game.
