EVA KING OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior attack from Baltimore, Md., has been named the SCAC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 15th through Sunday, April 21st.
King produced five goals, six assists and 11 points while helping Colorado College earn a split in its two games last week on the East Coast. In Thursday’s 15-9 loss at No. 17 TCNJ, King led the Tigers with three goals. Less than 19 hours later, King scored twice and tied her season high with six assists in the 15-13 victory at Albright College. With her first goal against Albright, King became the 15th player in program history to record 100 or more career goals. She also improved her point total to 81, which ranks sixth on CC's single-season list and tied for fourth in the SCAC for single-season efforts. King ignited the pivotal 5-0 run with an assist on a Maggie O’Donnell goal and then capped it with her second strike that gave the Tigers an 11-5 lead. King leads the Tigers with 41 goals, 40 assists and 81 points. Her 40 assists ranks fourth on the program’s single list while her current total of 81 points is good for fifth. King’s career total of 194 points already ranks eighth on CC’s all-time list .
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior midfielder Ella Pedrozo of Dallas registered six points on five goals and one assist last week as the Crusaders split a pair of contests, including a huge win over Johnson & Wales to earn the No. 3 seed going into the SCAC Tournament. In the win over the Wildcats, Pedrozo rang up her first hat trick of the season.
