ELLIE MEYER OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior midfielder from Park City, Utah, has been named the SCAC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 8th through Sunday, April 14th.
Meyer was a force in all phases of the game last week as No. 21 Colorado College recorded three victories in six days to extend the Tiger’s winning streak to 14, setting a new program record for consecutive wins. Her efforts helped the Tigers improve to 14-0 with victories over Johnson & Wales, Augsburg and previously unbeaten Hamline. In the defensive zone, Meyer caused four turnovers and picked up six ground balls, including tying a season-high four ground balls in the win against Hamline. She also grabbed four draw controls and scored once in the midfield.
