LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women’s lacrosse continued last week, highlighted by Colorado College extending its win streak to seven games to open the season.
The No. 22 CC Tigers opened the week by defeating Marian (Wis.) in impressive fashion, 23-0. The win marked the Tigers first shutout since the 2016 season and just the fourth time since the 2008 season CC has kept its opponent off the scoreboard. Freshman Maggie O’Donnell scored three goals and dished out five assists for eight total points, while sophomore Alena Stern and freshman Sarah Stamp combined for the shutout in the cage to lead CC to victory. On Sunday, Colorado College overcame an early three goal deficit thanks in part to a 13-1 barrage to defeat CSU-Pueblo, 20-10. O’Donnell continued her outstanding week, adding four goals and one assist to bring her weekly point total to 13. Stern made 11 saves in goal to preserve the win.
