NICK PIERCE OF
SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior goalkeeper from
Houston, Texas, has been selected as the SCAC Men's Soccer
Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday,
October 11 through Sunday, October 17.
Pierce posted two shut-outs over the weekend: 3-0 against
Birmingham and 3-0 against Millsaps.
Overall Pierce has allowed just four goals in six
matches of SCAC play. Pierce made an incredible
diving save towards the far post on a Millsaps shot at the
beginning of the second half to keep the score level at 0-0 before
the Pirates were able to put the game away.
