MATTHEW CHRISTI OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior from Flower Mound, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Co-Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played through October 23rd.
Christi finished in a tie for second with teammate Cade Osgood out of 51 athletes at the Abilene Intercollegiate hosted by Hardin-Simmons University. The senior fired a 36-hole total of 140 (72-68), good enough for two-under par on the par-71 course. In two days, Christi finished with seven birdies and 25 pars. In addition, Christi, along with his teammate Osgood led the field in par-four scoring with a 3.82 average.
Led by Osgood and Christi the Pirates secured the team title at the event with a two-day total of 574 (289-285).
