Emily Perkins, Colorado College, Women's Volleyball
EMILY PERKINS
OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior middle blocker from
Plano, Texas has been named SCAC Volleyball Player-of-the-Week for
matches played from Monday, September 21 through Sunday, September
27.
Perkins led the 13th-ranked Tiger volleyball team
to a 4-0 record at the SCAC West-East Tournament last weekend,
putting her team sole possession of second place in the SCAC
standings.
Perkins averaged 3.47 kills, 0.47 service aces,
4.47 digs and 0.80 blocks per set over the weekend. She recorded
three double-doubles including a 17 kill, 16 dig performance
against host DePauw and a 13 kill, 22 dig performance against
Centre.
She also became the seventh player in Colorado College history to eclipse the 1,000 kill mark while also becoming just the 12th Tiger player to record 100 career service aces.
