SCAC announces Spring 2009 Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll
SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) named a record 1,029 student-athletes to the 2009 SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday. This year's total eclipsed last year's previous record of 948 student-athletes.

Jordan Casey is Sewanee's 27th NCAA Postgraduate Scholar
SEWANEE, Tenn. - Recent Sewanee Graduate Jordan Casey (Charleston, S.C./James Island) has been awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, according to Teaera Strum of the NCAA. The scholarships are awarded to student-athletes who excel academically and athletically and who are in their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition.

LAWRENCEVILE, Ga. - DePauw's doubles team of Greer Mackie and Kayla Smith dropped the first set of their NCAA Division III quarterfinal match against the University of Chicago's Chrissy Hu and Kendra Higgins, but nearly came all the way back before dropping a third-set tiebreaker.

Fourth-ranked Chicago Tops DePauw Tigers in NCAA Third-Round Women's Tennis Match
Greencastle, Ind. — The fourth-ranked University of Chicago Maroons improved to 16-4 and advanced to the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship quarterfinals following a 5-0 win over 12th-ranked DePauw. The Tigers finished the season with a 17-9 record.
