Colorado College Heads Five SCAC Squads Receiving Fall 2012 CSCAA Scholar All America Honors

EVANSTON, Ill. - The College Swimming Coaches Association of America recently honored five Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's & women's swimming & diving teams with All-Academic honors for the 2012 Fall semester.

To be selected, teams must have maintained a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale.

The SCAC was represented by both the men's and women's teams from Colorado College, and the women's teams from Austin College, Southwestern University and Trinity University

The Southwestern women's team posted the seventh-highest GPA (3.53) among the 114 total women's teams listed, followed by the Colorado College women who were 13th with a 3.49 GPA.

The Austin College women were 51st (3.32 GPA) and the Trinity University women were 91st (3.15 GPA).

On the men's side, Colorado College (3.22 GPA) came in at 29th out of 64 schools.
