Grosso Announced as Southwestern's First Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach
GEORGETOWN, Texas - Matthew Grosso, a seasoned veteran of women’s lacrosse, was announced as Southwestern University’s first head women’s lacrosse coach. Grosso will build the team for a year before leading the Pirates in action for their inaugural season in spring 2014.

Trinity brings the SCAC Presidents Trophy back to San Antonio
SUWANEE, Ga. - The symbol of conference supremacy is a 300-pound railroad bell that is awarded annually to the conference program with the best overall sports record for that particular academic year. For a stretch of 12 years - from the early 1990s to the mid 2000s - that bell (with the exception of one year - 2000-01) resided on the campus of Trinity University.

Colorado College wins 2012 SCAC Women's Lacrosse Championship
SEWANEE, Tenn. - Back-to-back goals by sophomore attacker Elise Burchard gave Colorado College a four-goal lead with 8:40 remaining and the top-seeded Tigers withstood a late comeback by Sewanee to record a 10-9 victory in the championship game of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.

SUWANEE, Ga. - The SCAC Tournament is set, Colorado College earned the top seed and will open up competition this weekend squaring off against Birmingham-Southern at noon Saturday on the mountain in Sewanee, Tennessee. Host school Sewanee earned the second seed and will face Centre in the second semifinal match with the winners advancing to Sunday's Championship at noon.

SUWANEE, Ga. - In the lone SCAC contest this past week Birmingham-Southern knocked off Millsaps in a thirlling contest 12-11. After Millsaps took a 3-0 early lead, BSC scored nine of the next 12 goals en route to its first conference win of the year. The Panthers were led by Stephanie Gore and Madeline Golden who each scored three goals on the afternoon.

Women's Lacrosse Recap (Week 4) - Around the SCAC
SUWANEE, Ga. - Offense has been a plenty in the SCAC this year with all six teams averaging 10 plus goals per contest with Centre pacing the league at 14.7 goals a game. Defensively Colorado College is tops in the league allowing just 3.8 goals a game.

Women's Lacrosse Recap (Week 3) - Around the SCAC
SUWANEE, Ga. - Colorado College improved to a perfect 3-0 on the year including 2-0 in SCAC play after picking up a 16-1 win over Dallas this past weekend. Despite the blustery conditions, the Tigers were red-hot at the beginning of the game, scoring three times in the opening 61 seconds. Junior attacker Frances Staadt needed just 13 ticks to put CC on the board with the first of her two goals, and senior midfielder Grace Maloney added what proved to be the game winner 37 seconds later.

SUWANEE, Ga. - Defending SCAC Champions, the Purple Tigers of Sewanee, picked up right where they left off a season ago opening up the year a perfect 3-0 and now riding a seven game winning streak that dates back to last year. Colorado College picked up the first conference win of the year knocking off Millsaps 14-1 behind four goals from Leslie Jacoby.
