CHRIS SANDERS OF MILLSAPS COLLEGE, a senior guard from Brandon, Miss., has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, February 9 through Sunday, February 15.

In two must win games with SCAC tournament implications on the line for the Majors, Sanders averaged 20.5 points per game and 5 rebounds per game and 3.5 assists per game as the Millsaps swept two SCAC games against western division leading #11 Trinity and Southwestern University. He connected on 6-of-11 from the behind the arc (55 percent) and shot 48 percent from the floor during the week (13-27).   

In the win over Southwestern, Sanders scored a career-high 21 points off the bench on 7-of-12 shooting. In Millsaps' 86-67 win against #11 Trinity, Sanders scored 20 points to go along with six rebounds. The senior also chipped in from beyond the arc, making 3-of-5 shots.
