Rachel Webb, Rhodes College, Field Hockey (Defensive)
RACHEL WEBB
OF RHODES COLLEGE,a sophomore
defender from Virginia Beach, Va., has been selected as the SCAC
Field Hockey Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played
Monday, September 29 through Sunday, October 5.
Webb led
the defensive effort for the Lynx this week in two in region wins.
A tenacious and skilled player, Webb utilized her
speed and quickness all over the field for the Lynx.
An outside defender, Webb stepped up and played
sweeper (for the first time) brilliantly in Sunday’s game and
held a much improved Hendrix offense to only six shots on the
day.
Webb was a
key player for the Lynx defense which recorded its sixth shutout of
the season.
