Brian Chafin, Centre College Athletics Director, Announces Retirement
DANVILLE, Ky. - After nearly a quarter century of service at Centre College, Brian Chafin has announced his retirement. Chafin began his coaching career at Centre in 1989 and has served as director of athletics and recreation since 2002.

Trinity brings the SCAC Presidents Trophy back to San Antonio
SUWANEE, Ga. - The symbol of conference supremacy is a 300-pound railroad bell that is awarded annually to the conference program with the best overall sports record for that particular academic year. For a stretch of 12 years - from the early 1990s to the mid 2000s - that bell (with the exception of one year - 2000-01) resided on the campus of Trinity University.

SCAC Student-Athlete Initiative a Huge Success
SUWANEE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference was represented by 18 student-athletes last week at the 2012 NCAA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind. Rhodes Falls 3-2 in Double OT Thriller to Montclair State in NCAA Field Hockey First Round
MONTCLAIR, N.J. - Brittany Carroll scored 6:22 into the second overtime and gave Montclair State a 3-2 field hockey win over Rhodes in the opening round of the 2011 NCAA Tournament.

SCAC Announces 2011 All-SCAC Field Hockey Team
SUWANEE, Ga. – Rhodes College, on the heels of its third consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference field hockey tournament championship, was rewarded with recognition in all four major postseason awards categories. In exclusive voting by the league’s head field hockey coaches, Katie Faucher was tabbed as SCAC Offensive Player-of-the-Year, Regan McLaughlin was selected Defensive Co-Player-of-the-Year, Kat Simpson was named Co-Newcomer-of-the-Year and Lynx head coach Jane Wells was honored as Co-Coach-of-the-Year.

SUWANEE, Ga. - Rhodes and Centre will clash this Friday afternoon to break a tie atop the standings leaving the winner sitting in the drivers seat for the top seed at the SCAC Tournament in two weeks hosted by the Lynx in Memphis. Centre defeated Rhodes 2-1 earlier in the season handing the Lynx its first loss in SCAC regular season play since 2009.

After trailing 1-0 at the half, Katie Faucher led the Lynx with a second half hat trick on the way to victory. The win marks the 13th straight regular season conference win for Rhodes with their last loss coming to DePauw back on October 4th, 2009.
