MICHAEL GALATAS OF MILLSAPS COLLEGE, a 5-10, 175-pound junior kick returner/wide receiver from Lacombe, La., has been selected the SCAC Football Special Teams Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, October 31.

Galatas averaged 51 yards on a pair of kick returns against Sewanee, including a 75-yard return in the second quarter for a touchdown that broke a pair of Millsaps records.

Galatas' kick return for a score gave him 658 kick return yards this year, breaking All-American Chris Jackson's old mark of 568 return yards in 2006. The kick return for a score was also the third of his career, breaking Jesse McRight's record of two set from 1978-81. On the year, Galatas is averaging a career-best 26.3 yards-per-return with two scores.
