Joe Thigpen, Birmingham-Southern College, Football (Offensive)
JOE THIGPEN
OF BIRMINGHAM-SOUTHERN
COLLEGE has been selected the SCAC Football
Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, October
17.
Thigpen, a 6-2, 215 pound junior quarterback from
Crestview, Fla. completed 14-of-28 passes for 235 yards and two
touchdown passes in a 35-28 win at Austin College. He also rushed
19 times for 59 yards (3.1 avg.) and scored the game-winning
touchdown on an 11-yard run midway through the fourth quarter.
