CHRIS ZAPATA OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a senior outfielder from Shreveport, La., has been named the SCAC Baseball Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday March 5th.
Zapata moved in to a tie for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference lead in home runs by smashing one in each game of Centenary's double header sweep of Northland.
Through the two games, Zapata hit .625, scoring three runs and tallying seven RBI. His two home runs helped him to a 1.325 slugging percentage for the day.
